Gabrielle Carota

Co-Founder & CEO

ABOUT Gabrielle Carota

Gabriella Carota is the co-founder of Isle of Monday, the designer and archival vintage fashion rental platform she launched with co-founder Janelle Gray. A New York–based former model, Carota started collecting vintage around 2016 and built a following as a sourcing talent, running in-demand pop-ups at venues like the Brooklyn Flea, Canal Street Market, and Grand Bazaar that became known for their curation and credibility.

She first built Isle of Monday as a vintage resale business in 2021 before meeting Gray, then working in tech and marketing, at one of her pop-ups in 2022. Bonding over a shared belief that the vintage fashion system needed a better model, the two co-founders evolved the concept into a circular rental platform, with Carota leading sourcing, merchandising, and specialized garment care for the brand's one-of-a-kind pieces.
