Sara Khan is the founder and CEO of Go Grow Playrooms, the sensory-friendly indoor playground and co-working space for families she opened in Canton, Michigan, in 2024. A University of Windsor graduate and mother of three young children, she founded the business after leaving a career as a cybersecurity specialist at Amazon.
The idea grew out of her own experience as a work-from-home mom who frequented indoor playgrounds but couldn't find one in Canton, partly inspired by her son's severe eczema, which often kept him from playing outside. She built Go Grow around sustainability and ethical sourcing, prioritizing local and Michigan-made materials and even importing a custom play structure from England, and has been recognized by Forbes, CBS Detroit, and Metro Parent for her family-centered approach to community spaces.
